Welcome to Supreme Picture Viewer ("we," "our," or "the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our macOS application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about our data practices.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Supreme Picture Viewer is designed with privacy as a core principle. We explicitly do NOT:

3. Local Data Storage

The App stores the following information locally on your device only:

3.1 Application Preferences

Favorite Folders: Bookmarks to folders you've marked as favorites
Recent Folders: List of recently accessed folders (maximum 10)
View Settings: Your preferred layout mode, sort order, and display preferences
Window State: Window size and position for convenience

3.2 Security-Scoped Bookmarks

To maintain access to your selected folders across app launches, we use macOS Security-Scoped Bookmarks. These bookmarks are:

Stored locally in your macOS user preferences
Encrypted by the operating system
Never transmitted outside your device
Automatically managed by macOS security features

4. File Access Permissions

Supreme Picture Viewer requires access to your files to display images. The App:

Only accesses folders and files you explicitly select
Uses macOS standard file access APIs
Respects macOS sandbox security restrictions
Does not access files outside your selected folders
Does not modify your images (read-only access)

        Note: When you first open a folder, macOS will prompt you to grant access. This is a standard security feature, and your permission is required for the App to function.
    

5. Image Processing

All image processing occurs locally on your device:

Thumbnail Generation: Created locally and cached in memory
Image Viewing: Rendered directly from your local files
Format Support: WebP and other formats decoded locally using system libraries
No Upload: Images never leave your device

6. Third-Party Libraries

The App uses the following open-source libraries, all of which operate locally:

BTree: Data structure library for efficient file sorting (no data collection)
SDWebImageWebPCoder: WebP image format support (local decoding only)

These libraries do not collect, transmit, or store any user data.

7. Network Activity

Supreme Picture Viewer does NOT require or use any network connection. The App:

Does not connect to the internet
Does not check for updates automatically
Does not send telemetry or crash reports
Operates entirely offline

8. Children's Privacy

Supreme Picture Viewer does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is safe for users of all ages.

9. Data Security

Since we don't collect or transmit your data, there's no risk of data breaches or unauthorized access to your information through our App. Your images and preferences remain secure on your device, protected by macOS security features.

10. Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

Delete Preferences: Clear favorite folders and recent history within the App
Revoke Access: Remove folder access permissions through macOS System Settings
Uninstall: Deleting the App removes all associated preferences
No Account: No account deletion needed as we don't create accounts

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted in the App and on our website. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised.
