3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your Mac and never leaves your device:
3.1 Server Credentials
- What: Server URLs, usernames, and passwords for music streaming services
- Where: Securely stored in macOS Keychain
- Why: To authenticate with your music servers
- Security: Protected by macOS system-level encryption
3.2 Music Library Data
- What: Favorites, playlists, play history, and library statistics
- Where: Stored locally using SwiftData in your application container
- Why: To provide personalized features and maintain your preferences
- Access: Only accessible by SuperMusicHub on your device
3.3 Application Settings
- What: Theme preferences, language settings, and UI configurations
- Where: Stored in UserDefaults on your device
- Why: To remember your preferences between sessions
3.4 Cache Data
- What: Album artwork, thumbnails, and temporary media files
- Where: Stored in the application's cache directory
- Why: To improve performance and reduce network usage
- Management: Automatically managed by the system and can be cleared
3.5 Local Music Files
- What: Security-scoped bookmarks for local music folders
- Where: Stored in application preferences
- Why: To maintain access to your selected music folders
- Permissions: Requires explicit user permission via macOS file picker
4. Third-Party Services
SuperMusicHub connects to third-party music streaming services (Jellyfin, Emby, Plex, Navidrome)
that you configure. When you use these services:
- You are subject to their respective privacy policies
- Data is transmitted directly between your device and their servers
- We do not intercept, store, or have access to this communication
- We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of services you connect to

5. Network Communication
SuperMusicHub communicates over the network only for the following purposes:
- Connecting to your configured music servers
- Streaming audio content
- Downloading album artwork and metadata
- Authenticating with music services
Important: All network communication is initiated by you and goes directly to your
configured servers. We do not operate any backend servers that receive your data.
6. Data Security
We implement the following security measures:
- Keychain Storage: Passwords stored using macOS Keychain with system-level encryption
- HTTPS Support: Secure connections to music servers when configured
- Sandboxing: App runs in macOS sandbox for additional security
- No Cloud Sync: Data is not synced to iCloud or any cloud service
- Local Processing: All data processing happens on your device
7. Children's Privacy
SuperMusicHub does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
The app is safe for users of all ages. However, parents should supervise children's access to
music streaming services and content.
8. Your Rights and Control
You have complete control over your data:
- Access: All your data is stored locally and accessible to you
- Deletion: You can delete accounts, playlists, and favorites at any time
- Export: Your data is stored in standard formats on your device
- Uninstall: Deleting the app removes all associated data from your device
8.1 How to Delete Your Data
- Account Credentials: Delete accounts from the connection screen
- Favorites & Playlists: Remove items individually or delete accounts
- Cache: Clear cache from macOS System Settings → Storage
- All Data: Uninstall SuperMusicHub from your Mac
9. International Users
SuperMusicHub is available worldwide. Since all data is stored locally on your device,
no data crosses international borders through our services. However, when you connect to
music streaming services, data may be transmitted to servers in various locations depending
on your service provider.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Posting the new Privacy Policy in the app
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- Providing an in-app notification for significant changes
Your continued use of SuperMusicHub after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.

SuperMusicHub is committed to transparency. You can verify our privacy practices by:
