Super AI Pet – Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 28, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Super AI Pet ("the App") collects, uses, and protects your information. Super AI Pet is a macOS application designed to run AI models locally on your device.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 Conversation content

When you use the App, your chat messages and AI responses ("conversations") are stored locally on your Mac for the purpose of showing chat history and improving your experience within the App.

1.2 App settings

The App stores certain configuration data locally, such as:

1.3 Technical and diagnostic data

The App may log non-personal technical data locally (for example, error messages written to a log or the system console) to help diagnose issues and improve reliability.

2. Where Your Data Is Stored

All conversation data, settings, and related information are stored locally on your device, typically using Apple's Core Data and UserDefaults mechanisms. The data is not automatically backed up or transmitted by the App itself to any external server controlled by the developer.

However, your system may back up application data as part of macOS backup solutions (for example, Time Machine or third-party backup tools). These backups are managed by you or your organization.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely for the following purposes:

4. Local AI Processing

Super AI Pet is designed to run AI models (for example, llama.cpp-based models) on your local machine. Requests to the AI are sent to a locally running server process on 127.0.0.1 (localhost). Under normal usage, your conversation content is not sent to remote servers by the App.

If you manually configure or use any external integrations, network proxies, or additional tools that send data elsewhere, those tools or services will have their own privacy policies and responsibilities.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

The App does not sell, rent, or exchange your conversation data with third parties.

The App may rely on system components provided by Apple (such as macOS, Core Data, and network frameworks) and on open-source libraries bundled with the application (such as AI runtimes). These components run locally on your device and do not automatically transmit conversation content to external services, unless explicitly configured by you or your operating system.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Conversation history and settings are stored until you remove them. You can:

Please note that deleting the App may not automatically remove data stored in system backups created earlier (such as Time Machine). You are responsible for managing those backups.

7. Security

Because all primary data processing is local, the security of your information depends largely on the physical and software security of your device and operating system. You are responsible for applying macOS updates, using a strong account password, and taking other common-sense security measures.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information via the App, you should delete the relevant conversations and, if necessary, remove the App from the device.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable laws. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Contact

If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or how the App handles your data, please contact the developer through the channel where you obtained the App (for example, the App Store listing, project website, or repository issue tracker).
