This Privacy Policy explains how Notch Widget (“the App”) handles your information. The App is designed to work primarily offline and store data locally on your Mac.
Information the App Collects
Notch Widget does not require you to create an account and does not collect personally identifiable information for advertising purposes.
1) Data you enter
If you use widgets such as notes or to-dos, the App stores the content you enter locally on your device so it can be restored on the next launch.
2) App settings and layout
The App stores your widget layout, widget configuration, and preferences (for example, whether to show the welcome window on launch) locally on your device.
3) System information (for display only)
If you enable system widgets, the App may read system metrics such as CPU usage, memory usage, disk usage, and network activity. This information is used only to display real-time status within the App. The App does not send these metrics to any server.
How the App Uses Information
- To display your widgets and restore your widget board between launches.
- To show the content you create (notes, to-dos) inside the widgets.
- To display system status information when system widgets are used.
Data Sharing
Notch Widget does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. The App does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Data Storage
Data is stored locally on your Mac (for example using Apple’s system preferences storage mechanisms such as UserDefaults).
You can remove the App to remove its locally stored data.
Security
The App uses standard macOS storage mechanisms. No method of storage is 100% secure; however, the App is designed to minimize data exposure by keeping your data on-device.
Children’s Privacy
Notch Widget is not directed to children under the age of 13, and the App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. If changes are made, the updated version will be provided with a new effective date.
